10 Simple Composition Tips for Taking a Good Photograph

Now that it's easier than ever to take pictures using a digital camera or smartphone, more people should brush up on basic composition tips for taking a good photograph.

Some basic rules: use the rule of thirds for deciding where your focal point should be. Place the horizon line above or below the center line. Play with symmetry, patterns, color contrasts and different textures to create dynamic images.
