How to Make Your Own Non-Synthetic Citronella Candles to Keep Mosquitoes Away Outdoors

To prevent mosquitos from bombing your next outdoor summer party, make your own DIY citronella candles using soy wax, glass mason jars, citronella oil, candle wicks, and a little superglue.

While making your own citronella candles take a little more time and effort than simply buying them at the store, DIY-ing it saves you a lot of money and also helps you avoid the nasty synthetic ingredients found in commercial citronella candles.

If the scent of citronella is too strong for you, you can also mix up the essential oil concoction by adding five drops of eucalyptus essential oil.
