9 Surprisingly Toxic Foods

Tin cans have resin linings that contain bisphenol-A (BPA), which has been linked in animal lab testings to a number of ailments that include reproductive problems, heart disease, and obesity. Tomatoes are high in acidity, which means that the content of canned tomatoes eats away at the resin lining, which causes BPA to leach into what you eat. Long story short: avoid canned tomatoes at all costs.

While junk foods are obviously terrible for your health for all the artificial, processed chemicals found in their ingredients, other foods like farmed salmon and non-organic apples are seemingly healthy but actually terrible for your body for the chemicals and pesticides that they contain in their seemingly benign appearance.

You've lost your credibility with this list. Canned tomatoes? Non-organic apples & potatoes? Fresh is preferable to canned and organic is better than conventional, but calling non-organic apples and canned tomatoes toxic? No. This article should be entitled, "9 foods to avoid", not "9 surprisingly toxic foods you should NEVER eat."

This nonsense doesn't belong on WonderHowTo. You're making unfounded claims here and haven't even provided any sources. Do you really think the FDA would allow "highly toxic" pesticides to douse our food if it posed any real risk to us? Lost a lot of credibility here.
