Just a word about the garlic: As garlic is in the onion family (and onions should NEVER be fed to dogs), there is a risk of your dog accumulating Heinz Bodies which can be attributed to liver disease and anemia. One way to cut back on this accumulation is to never feed your dog raw garlic. Obviously, it's at the owner's discretion. I feed my dog garlic almost every day (she gets a anti flea/tick indigestible powder that contains garlic) so I am very pro-garlic! Anyway, I would also caution about reading the ingredient label if you're supplementing with garlic powder as I have seen some that contain onion powder. And never use garlic salt, dogs don't need that much salt in their diet.
